Bobby Brown leaves Whitney Houston’s funeral before it starts and Kevin Costner receives standing ovation

Whitney Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown has left Whitney’s funeral moments before it began after a disagreement.

Bobby, who was typically blamed for the tragic singer’s addictions andstruggles with alcohol and drugs, was noticed leaving the funeral at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark with an unidentified woman.

A source in the funeral told nj.com that Brown had turned up at the church with a nine powerful entourage who all wanted to sit in the loved ones portion of the church.

When the rest of the crowd were refused seating in the loved ones region Bobby chose to leave, getting into a black Cadillac SUV.

Last week when Brown heard the news, he carried on with his efficiency at a gig which led to speculation all week about no matter whether he would attend the funeral at all.

The pair had been married for 14 years but it was in no way an easy relationship and ended bitterly with Whitney finding full custody of Bobbi Kristina, their daughter now 19.

The mayor of the city, Cory Booke, welcomed mourners at the funeral just before the pastor, Joe Carer, read some bible passages but it was Kevin Costners speech that really moved individuals, receiving a standing ovation. Is a standing ovation proper at a wedding?

The Bodyguard actor began by thanking Whitney’s household for permitting him to attend. He mentioned:

‘The song I Will Always Enjoy You nearly wasn’t. She was meant to sing What Becomes of the Broken Hearted. So what becomes our broken hearts.

“You weren’t just good enough, you were great. You sang the complete damn song with out a band. You made the picture what it was. A lot of top guys could have played my element, a lot of guys could have filled that role. But you Whitney, I truly believe, had been the only one who could have played Rachel Marron at that time. You weren’t just fairly. You had been as beautiful as a woman could be. And folks just didn’t like you, Whitney. They loved you.”

‘For a moment we really should dry our tears, suspend our sorrow and anger. By no means forgot that Cissy and Bobbi Kristina are sitting amongst us.

‘Your mother and I had a lot in frequent,’ he said to Bobbi Kristina. ‘He’s a boy, she’s a girl. I’m white, she’s black. You’d feel we had nothing in prevalent but we did.

‘We each grew up in a Baptist church. My grandmother led the choir and played the piano.
