Blue. Pockets. Blue. Punk Hair. Chanel Couture Spring 2012 was not all that complicated. Was it? Using an interesting setting – the interior of a businessflight plane (what else for an “out of the blue” assortment?), Karl Lagerfeld introduced his final Haute Couture sartorial accomplishment to the fashworld.
In a very Chanel design, he also matched the nail polish to the collection’s (blue) spirit, launching what would definitely be Summertime 2012 should have nail polish! Of training course there was the common black & white point, all in Chanel’s classic method, there was the common tweed and sequined elegance, but the crucial phrase nevertheless is blue (oh, and what about these sequined tights?
